Endoscopic Ultrasound

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a minimally invasive procedure to assess gastrointestinal and mediastinal diseases. In this procedure, a special endoscope is used, which utilizes high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the lining and walls of gastrointestinal tract and nearby organs such as the pancreas and liver, and lymph nodes, .and mediastinum. During EUS, fine-needle aspiration, is used to sample the fluid and tissue from those structures for analysis. EUS with fine-needle aspiration can be a minimally invasive alternative to exploratory surgery and can diagnose many obscured causes of pain abdomen and mediastinal diseases. EUS techniques are also used in draining pseudocysts. In summary, we perform many procedures to treat our patients and free them from the digestive diseases:

  • ERCP with sphincterotomy/ sphincteroplasty
  • ERCP with Stenting/ CBD Stone Removal/ Pancreatic Stone Removal
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) with Fine-Needle Aspiration
  • Polypectomy of Polyp in Esophagus or Stomach or Duodenum or Colon
  • Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)
  • Endoscopic Variceal Band Ligation (EVL)
  • Sclerotherapy
  • Hemostasis of the bleeding ulcers by endoscopic clipping or coagulation or epinephrine injection
  • Foreign Body Removal
  • Balloon Dilatation in the Stricture of esophagus or Pylorus or Duodenum
  • Palliative treatment by opening up of the lumen of digestive tract in esophageal cancer, gastric cancer and
  • duodenal cancer by metallic stenting
  • Balloon Dilatation of Achalasia Cardia
  • Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG)
  • Percutaneous Endoscopic Jejunostomy (PEJ)
  • Endoscopic drainage of pancreatic pseudocyst under EUS guidance
