Dr. Pradeep Krishna Shrestha is the Principal Consultant and Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at Nepal Mediciti. He is a renowned Professor and the immediate past Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology Unit at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Institute of Medicine. Dr. Shrestha holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Internal Medicine from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India.

With several years of clinical experience in the United Kingdom (UK), Dr. Shrestha also received specialized training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the Division of Gastroenterology, International Medical Center of Japan, Tokyo. His expertise spans liver diseases, H. pylori-associated gastrointestinal disorders, and diabetes mellitus.

Dr. Shrestha has contributed extensively to medical research in Nepal, publishing and presenting numerous papers on liver diseases and diabetes. He has been recognized with multiple Best Scientific Paper Awards both nationally and internationally. His dedication to medical education was honored with a Certificate of Honor by MBBS students at TUTH for his exceptional teaching.

Currently, he serves as an advisor to the Diabetes and Endocrinology Association of Nepal (DEAN). For over 23 years, Dr. Shrestha has passionately focused on the unique characteristics and individualized management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Nepalese patients. He firmly believes in the principle, "If you know Diabetes, you know Internal Medicine," reflecting his deep commitment to comprehensive internal medicine and endocrinology care.
