Dr. Sanjaya Karki is the Principal Consultant and Head of the Department of Emergency & Pre-Hospital Care at Nepal Mediciti. He holds an MBBS degree, a European double Master’s in Health and Welfare, and an MD in Emergency Medicine, making him one of the most highly qualified emergency medicine specialists in the region.
Internationally recognized for his pioneering work in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Dr. Karki has significantly advanced pre-hospital care and emergency response systems in Nepal and beyond. His innovative contributions have reshaped EMS infrastructure and protocols, earning him global accolades.
Among his most notable honors are the David Well Extreme Medicine Award (UK, 2014) and the EMS 10 Innovators of the Year Award (USA, 2016). These prestigious awards underscore his impact on global emergency care and his dedication to medical innovation.
