Physiotherapist
Ms. Manisha Maharjan is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Nepal Mediciti, bringing extensive clinical experience in both orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy. She holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) from Manav Rachana International Institute of Research and Studies, India, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Srinivas College of Physiotherapy and Research Centre, India. Her strong academic foundation is enriched by her ongoing commitment to professional development through active participation in workshops and conferences focused on musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
Ms. Maharjan has been delivering specialized physiotherapy care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, emphasizing evidence-based techniques and patient-centered treatment plans. Her clinical expertise also extends to sports physiotherapy, having served as a Physiotherapist for the Nepal Women's Football Team, where she contributed to injury prevention and performance enhancement.
Her prior experience includes roles at Medanta Ortho and Neuro Care Center and Rachana Ortho-Neuro Rehabilitation Centre, where she developed hands-on proficiency in managing both orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation cases. She also volunteered as a medical service provider during the 1st Khelo India School Games 2018, demonstrating her dedication to community health and sports rehabilitation.
Beyond clinical practice, Ms. Maharjan has actively contributed to physiotherapy research and education. Her postgraduate dissertation explored the “Agreement between Normal Scapular Abduction Ratio and Lateral Scapular Slide Test Measures for Scapular Malpositioning Among Adult Females with Forward Shoulder Posture.” She also completed a literature review project on breathing exercises and has attended training sessions on multiligament knee injuries, vestibular rehabilitation, and kinesiotaping.
Her participation in the International Conference on Sports Medicine and Sports Sciences further underscores her commitment to staying at the forefront of musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy.
